You are invited to tour the Morgan-Lee Arts Centre, home to Hill Dance Academy Theatre and Seven Black-owned Businesses located in Historic Middle Hill. This place is rich in legacy, ownership, resistance, and hope (Hil CDC 2025 Master Plan, p. 6).

As many of you know, Hill Dance Academy Theatre (HDAT) is celebrating a significant milestone. We are in our 20th year. Yes, and we have so much to share with friends, family, supporters, and all who have helped us get to where we are today: students, alums, parents, and all those families that have enrolled their daughters and sons in the Academy over the years.

Our HDAT journey continues today. What you may not know is that HDAT, under the leadership of CEO Ayisha Morgan-Lee, EdD, purchased the former SL Benedict the Moor School, convent, and rectory buildings on the campus in July 2021. Today, the Morgan-Lee Arts Centre sits in the historic Hill community on the corners of the 2900 blocks of Bedford Avenue, Wandless Street, and Webster Avenue.

The Historic Site continues to uplift education, community service, and a Spirit of Welcoming & Belonging to all who enter the campus. However, we do not serve, educate, and welcome the community alone. HDAT is joined by 7 Artist Entrepreneurs who create, produce, and market their artistic works at 2900 Bedford Avenue, their Black business location.

Please choose the date for your tour. Tours are 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
