She started dancing at 8 when she received a scholarship to the Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre through an after-school dance program. At age 15, Michia was accepted to Las Vegas Academy of the Arts as a dance major. Dr. Joni Carroll has served as Faculty with Hill Dance Academy Theatre since 2011. Joni is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania and started dancing at the age of two.
