Allegra Battle is the Communications Manager for Propel Schools; she is an award-winning reporter, audio journalist and blogger. Allegra began her career as the morning news anchor for WAMO 106.7 FM in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2017, Allegra was selected as a RIAS German fellow and traveled to Brussels, Belgium, Berlin, and Hamburg, Germany. She covered the 2017 German elections and studied European politics and German history and culture. In 2018 she was awarded an Artist Opportunity Grant from the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council to research and report on the influence of African art and culture in Haiti. Allegra has also worked as a freelance reporter for WESA 90.5 FM, covering Pittsburgh-related arts and Culture stories. She holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from Howard University in Washington, DC.
